A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. Duties

As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties: Performs routine maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment, and related utilities. Performs minor carpentry repairs. Receives, unloads, and processes incoming shipments. Operates park vehicles for custodial and maintenance duties on roads, highways, and interstates in and around the park. Assists journey-level, or other higher graded maintenance workers in landscaping and grounds maintenance, carpentry, electrical installations or repairs, plumbing, interior and exterior painting, and a variety of custodial services. Cleans and services chemical toilets, restrooms, and other campground or visitor facilities. Collects trash.
