About the Position:
This position is with DoD Education Activity HQ. Office of the Director Office of the Inspector General in Alexandria, VA.

Duties
Assigns work according to expertise, requirements, and workload. Monitors work production and workload of personnel to ensure regulatory and procedural requirements are in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Prepares the annual DoDEA OIG audit work plan for approval by the Director. Assists the DoDEA Inspector General with the overall administration of the DoDEA OIG audit program.
Serves as DoDEA’s representative and point of contact for external agencies regarding their inspections, surveys, and/or audit findings and recommendations affecting DoDEA, including DoDEA – Europe, DoDEA – Pacific, DoDEA-Americas), and headquarters.
Conducts audits and reviews in accordance with the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and other professional standards as appropriate.
Performs a variety of reviews as required that are usually without precedent and requires the use of advance auditing and evaluative techniques in gathering and evaluating data and information.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position is designated Non-Critical Sensitive (Secret) and requires a Tier 3 investigation favorably adjudicated.
- This is a Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Conducts audits and reviews of organizational operational, administrative, and financial operations in accordance with the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and other professional standards as appropriate; Prepares and/or participates in the annual audit work plan for approval by organization senior leadership; Leads audit staff in the performance of work objectives; providing technical audit advice and guidance and evaluating the audit work of subordinate staff; Coordinates and monitors external agencies audits and engagements activities to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed regulations and directives.
