You will serve as the Administrative Specialist in the Kennedy Space Center's Procurement Business Office. You will be responsible for providing a full range of advisory and liaison services to support the organization for the purpose of achieving mission support goals and objectives.
Duties
Works closely with contractor design personnel, construction/mod crews and the move team to coordinate Directorate Facility Utilization Manager activities.
Performs critical role of Information Technology (IT) organizational representative and liaison between NASA End-user Services and Technology, IT and the end user.
Serves as the Industrial Hygiene Organization Representative for ergonomic issues. Responsible for assisting employees with minor issues, office planning and ordering new equipment.
Serves as the Safety Coordinator responsible for ensuring the organization complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Serves as the Directorate training coordinator; provides advice and guidance to all levels of management and employees; identifies training needs and recommends resolutions for problems that may arise in the organization.
Determines Kennedy Space Center-unique training requirements in support of continuous learning requirements of both Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting and Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer’s Representatives.
Tracks the organizational training budget. Analyzes needs and provide input for future training allocation/budgets. Approve training requests. Gathers and compiles information for recurring reports and training class schedules.
Reviews and enters awards into the NASA Automated Awards System.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
- This is a bargaining unit position - American Federation of Government Employees - Local 513.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Performing data validation and quality control checks to ensure adherence to protocol;
Utilizing a variety of administrative tools and automated systems to support and track administrative operations; and
Interpreting and implementing policies, procedures, or guidelines for organizational services such as awards management, training, and other activities.
