You will serve as an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the COMMANDER U.S. PACIFIC FLEET, HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE NORTHWEST, EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ORGANIZATION of USPACFLT EEO PROGRAM MANAGEMENT.
Duties
You will serve as the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Coordinator supporting DON policy in providing RA to qualified employees and applicants with disabilities.
You will process and coordinate RA requests ensuring they are processed within established timeframes and in accordance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
You will ensure that the supervisor/manager engages in ongoing interactive discussions with the individual seeking an accommodation and the advisory team.
You will provide advice and training to supervisor and managers on their role and responsibilities in the RA process.
You will review work sites for possible accommodations and coordinates changes to support placement of employees.
You will provide case management services to customer activities responsive to the EEOC and Navy regulations.
You will establish, maintain and update the appropriate tracking and monitoring systems for discrimination complaints.
You will serve as an advisor on issues and concerns of particular constituent groups and performs major roles in both the trigger identification and barrier investigations phases of barrier analysis associated with Special Emphasis Program groups.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, statues and Federal regulations, and applying analytical or fact finding techniques to interpret, resolve or recommend resolution for Reasonable Accommodation programs.
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering information to assist with the analysis and processing of Equal Employment Opportunity complaints of discrimination for Reasonable Accommodation Requests or Dispute in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Qualifications for the GS-11
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
OR
LL.M., if related.
Qualifications for the GS-09
Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
