About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Initiate purchase request for supplies, parts, materials, services and equipment to implement parts management program supporting operation and maintenance of all production and test equipment for the installation. Perform market research to determine availability, quality and cost reasonableness of tools required for maintenance and repair of production and test equipment. Analyze repair parts usage to manage stockage level of repair parts. Convert Purchase Request to Purchase order Base Operations (BASOPs). Ensure timely generation of requisitions processed via Military Standard Transaction Requisition (MILSTRIP), local purchases, or International Merchant Purchase Authorization Card (IMPAC).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
