About the position: This position will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop at Kirtland AFB, NM.
The position will be filled as Regular Part Time Employment Category. Garunteed 20hr/wk. Position may be eligible for Health and/or Dental insurance, Group Life insurance, Retirement plan, and 401k.
Position may require working on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and pull objects weighing 40 pounds
- Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of a wide variety of automotive tools and parts; good work shop practices to include setting up and maintaining a neat, well organized and secure storage area; inventory procedures and records maintenance.
In addition, must have experience working with patrons providing quality customer service.
Must be able to follow written and/or oral instruction, make simple mathematical computations and be able to follow cash handling procedures.
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
