You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the CENTER FOR CYBER SECURITY STUDIES within the NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will check all purchasing documents to confirm correct funding and appropriations have been cited.
You will enter data into a database to produce purchasing reports.
You will screen incoming purchase requests to see if they qualify for procurements using the purchase card.
You will orally communicate administrative and general advice to assigned purchase card buyers and technical customers.
You will prepare correspondence, proofread, and edit work for completeness, clarity, and accuracy.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-06 Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Purchasing a broad array of supplies and equipment in support of a large department; 2) Navigating procurement systems and executing acquisitions; 3) Determining the proper method to purchase items; and 4) Ensuring compliance with established guidelines and policies.
GS-05 Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring the purchasing needs of the organization are met; 2) Reviewing submitted purchase requests for accuracy; and 3) Utilizing automated systems to monitor purchase requests with assistance from higher-level employees.
