About the Position: The Alaska Division, Denali Area Office. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in USACE contract administration. Possess an in depth knowledge of submittals, modifications, design reviews, engineering support to construction to include excellent interpersonal communication skills, detail-orientated, and experience working with USACE projects and programs.

Duties

Performing and directing contract administration and quality assurance related activities for the construction program under the jurisdiction of the Area Office. Manages the office engineering staff of engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel in the areas of contracting, contract administration, and construction support. In accordance with the Project Management Plan, participates in design review conferences; performs BCOE reviews, review of contractor submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFI's, and performing field inspections. Assists Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) on assigned projects in regard to contract modifications and in coordination with the Contracting Officer.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position.
  • Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
