About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Admin at 60th Medical Group, Travis AFB, California. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Serve as the point of contact on matters relating to health benefits programs available to eligible beneficiaries. Provide advisory services on benefits offered through the TRICARE program. Troubleshoot and resolve problems for TRICARE beneficiaries and providers. Provide benefit briefings to eligible beneficiaries at various installation functions such as military retirement briefings, newcomer’s briefings, commander’s calls, and spouse orientations. Provide information and assistance based upon personal, written, or telephone inquiries concerning both inpatient and outpatient medical care from civilian sources under the TRICARE program. Inform and educate beneficiaries regarding health care benefits.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
