About the Position: This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. APG sits on more than 72,500 acres in Harford County, MD and offers recreation, sports, golf, pools, child and day care facilities.

Duties

Operate a field type tractor with items such as an attached towed mower or cutter bar to cut grass. Perform adjustments on equipment operated in order to keep operational. Utilize equipment such as gears, power ratios, braking and turning capabilities at proper operating speeds. Maneuver equipment in confined areas such as between shrubs and trees and along fences and curbs. Manipulate controls of moving equipment in order to complete required tasks. Adjust equipment to accomplish job such as setting height of mower blades.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A pre-employment physical is required.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
