This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, San Carlos Irrigation Project in Coolidge, Arizona. The incumbent will assist in managing the day-to-day administrative support functions associated with the operation of the San Carlos Irrigiation Project.
Duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant (OA), your duties will include, but not limited to:
Prepare requisition to purchase office supplies, equipment. printing, and services.
Assist in making arrangements for large meeting and/or conferences, including space, people, time, etc.
Serve as a payroll coordinator and Quicktime user (time and attendance software).
Coordinate travel arrangements using an automated travel system.
Maintain and organize the fleet vehicle utilization report.
Prepares, reviews, edits, formats, prints, routes, and mails correspondence and documents using word processing and spreadsheet software.
Maintains records of correspondence, action documents, and attached any associated documents or records, or refers to location of electronic document. Prepare and maintain the Files Maintenance and Disposition Plans.

Minimum Qualification Experience and Education Requirements:

For the GS-5:
Specialized experience: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: preparing, receiving, reviewing and verifying documents; maintaining office records; and locating and compiling data or information from files and other data source
Or completed 4 years of college courses above high school
Or have combination of education and experience.
For the GS-6:
Specialized experience: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs; routing official correspondence; managing calendars and meeting schedules for management; providing administrative support such as answering telephone calls and greeting visitors; serving as a point-of-contact for an office; and performing data entry into an automated timekeeping system. There is no education substitution for the GS-06 grade level.
For the GS-7:
Specialized experience: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: performing specialized office tasks including making travel arrangements for executive staff; compiling information from a variety of sources to prepare reports for executive staff; preparing supply requisitions according to established rules; and providing direct support and technical assistance to branch managers, supervisors, and staff in departments such as finance, human resources, procurement, property and supply, and Indian Self-Determination. There is no education substitution for the GS-07 grade level.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
