This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP). This position is located in the Small Business Administration with the Sacramento Loan Processing Center in Citrus Heights, CA. Serves as a Loan Processing Assistant and is responsible for assisting in evaluating loan applications for program eligibility and creditworthiness.

Duties

Researches and responds to Lenders' inquiries involving questions of a substantial but non-complex nature, such as the status of a loan application, franchise, appraisal, or modification request. Screens and analyzes less complex loan applications and financial information to determine merits for acceptability of loan request; ensures that all required forms and documents are included and properly completed and that any needed supplemental or related material is provided. Contacts and advises lenders as to forms to be completed and procedures to be followed in developing application package for submission. Researches files and records to assemble needed documentation to evaluate and process request.

Qualifications

For the GS-7: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector. This experience must include all of the following: Making regular determinations of completeness and appropriateness of a commercial loan application; and Utilizing automated systems including the data entry, tracking and processing loan applications with attendant documents such as credit reports, appraisals, business valuations, or environmental reviews pertaining to a commercial loan. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
