astronautics sciences within the broad arena of aviation and space exploration. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates significant and
complex projects which represent critical segments of major operating programs in the field of aeronautics and astronautics; such as adapting
aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, fluid mechanics, flight dynamics, flight structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, and energy
conversion/utilization to aerospace vehicles and related equipment. Researches, analyzes, and determines available options or the feasibility
of different advanced approaches to resolve complex program issues; defines concepts and criteria for future programs or resolves major
controversial problems in current programs.
DUTY 2: Plans and carries out the collection and analysis of information, data and standards used by the assigned organization to perform
aerospace engineering tasks. Researches problems and issues to identify cause, and develops solutions which take into consideration the
methods and techniques of various professional engineering disciplines. . Functions as the organization's technical specialist in developing
system performance requirements, objectives and integration, and the estimation of time and resources for system design, development, and
support. Employs scientific and engineering principles to design, develop, test, evaluate, and/or determine requirements and devises methods
and procedures that become established precedents for the activity. Applies an extensive knowledge of the field of aerospace engineering and
an expert knowledge of the assigned subject matter or functional area to resolve unique or novel problems related to design and development
engineering. Performs analysis and integrates technical requirements, directives, and program plans in support of assigned projects/programs
