Duties
This position is a senior human resources (HR) professional and SI’s subject matter expert regarding technical position management and classification guidance. Performs the highest level technical work and also provides policy support to other HR specialists, personnel management/human resources liaisons (HRL), hiring managers and senior leadership.

Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as (1) providing technical expertise to the staff and leadership regarding classification program, strategic workforce planning; leading special pan-institutional and interagency long-term projects, 2) designing, developing, implementing and assessing complex position management and workforce planning programs, policies and initiatives for agency wide use, 3) providing managers with authoritative interpretation of classification and position management procedures, practices, polices and guidelines when the issues involve new, highly controversial, precedent setting and/or involve more than one of human resources policy, 4) leading team projects and studies related to position management and classification matters.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience. Be sure to note the number of paid or unpaid hours worked each week.
