You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the C2 TECOE of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will be the point of contact for all matters pertaining to C2TECOE procurement, requisition research, transport, contracts, and accountability of equipment, and supply support for training in both a classroom and field environment. You will conduct research and coordinates procurement, inventory control, and sustainment support operations for all equipment located at C2 TECOE and the five (5) MISTC locations. You will provide advice and participates in the planning, development, and review of fund requirements to support current and long range C2 TECOE procurement activities. You will be responsible for submitting Procurement Requests and contracting requirements thru the Internet based, on-line Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) information. You will develop cost data for equipment support and identifies trends and forecasts for the out years.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. assisting with developing and/or recommending new or revised local directives, policies, and implementing instructions for a supply programs. identifying issues and problems involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, or day-to-day operational procedures, tracking the flow of materials, conducting inventory and catalog searches and evaluating variables such as availability of materials, relationships with other programs, and cost/benefit considerations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
