Duties

- Supports NIST Fleet Manager, performing full range of transportation functions to include processing GSA-leased and Department of Commerce (DOC)-owned vehicles, GSA and DOC reporting, managing fleet cards, and maintaining records for fueling station. - Responsible for securing cost effective transportation of passengers and preparing the necessary paperwork. - Responds to customer Transportation requests and inquiries regarding vehicles and fuel. - Serves as dispatcher.

  • Merit applicants must meet time-in-grade/band requirements, as applicable
  • Selective Placement Factor: valid state drivers' license is required.

Qualifications

This position requires one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level (ZS-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: Thorough knowledge of the organizational programs and goals, priorities, policies, and commitments of the supervisor OR expert knowledge of the specialized assistance work related to a variety of administrative program areas. Thorough knowledge of a body of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and precedent cases related to the full range of assistance work in an administrative area. Ability to communicate collaboratively to exchange information and resolve operational and procedural problems or concerns in the accomplishment of assignments. AND A valid state drivers' license is required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
