If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: following instructions and procedures to collect and organize field data related to natural resource management; assisting with natural resource management field surveys to document and assess resource management issues; assisting researchers in wildlife surveys and monitoring activities; using Geographic Information System (GIS) software to compile and report data and other resource management information; assisting with long-term monitoring projects by following established protocols to collect, store, analyze and report on natural resource data using a variety of computer programs. The total must equal at least 100 percent and include the prorated number of hours of directly related courses listed above as a proportion of the total education used to qualify. Only progressive education in excess of the first 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours (i.e., beyond the first two years) of a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. You must include transcripts.
