Serves as a Program Manager for airport development projects for the Office of Airports (ARP), assigned Airports District Office (ADO) or a Region in support of ARP financial programs, including the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional.
Duties
H-Band: Incumbent performs similar duties, but with more frequent supervision.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
Qualifications
To qualify for the H-Band position applicants must demonstrate in their application they possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (FV-G, FV/GS-10/11). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the positions. Specialized experience is described as:Experience conducting program management activities for airport development projectsExperience developing airport planning documentsExperience making eligibility of work determinations for airport projectsExperience performing construction site visitsTo qualify for the I-Band position applicants must demonstrate in their application they possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (FV-H, FV/GS-12). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the positions. Specialized experience is described as:Experience conducting program management activities for airport development projectsExperience developing airport planning documentsExperience making determinations for eligibility of work airport projectsExperience performing construction site visitsExperience preparing correspondence for all aspects of airport planning and development including Congressional briefing papers, letters and guidance to sponsorsQualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
