Duties
You will perform a variety of duties in the development of on-site planning documentation for projects involving construction, alteration, maintenance and repair.
You will develop work packages by providing layouts, scopes, cost-estimates, feasibility and technical studies and designs.
You will coordinate various features of project development with engineers, customers, environmental staff, financial personnel, etc.
You will receive and review planning work orders, conducts on-site visits and communicates with customers to define related project requirements.
You will define and prioritize alternative, prepares scopes and cost-estimates, coordinates related permits, prepares site-approval requests and determines adequacy of funding.
You will prepare documentation required to determine facility requirements for shore activities within assigned mission, to identify and certify projects as valid or deficient in accordance with the Shore Facilities Planning System.
You will produce maps that provide topography and existing conditions of all station facilities including data concerning ordnance explosive hazard zones, airfield safety zones, and other similar data of value to planners and designers.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and presenting written and oral technical and non-technical information to a variety of audiences; 2) Utilizing mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facilities or production projects; 3) Utilizing a wide range of engineering methods, principles and practices when accomplishing difficult and complex projects; and 4) Developing and maintaining effective relationships in order to achieve common goals.
