About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Maintain accountability of classroom equipment. Develops and modifies course material for educational requirements. Adjust schedules to meet classroom needs. Monitors and evaluates student progress in student level courses. Prepares and administers formal and informal tests or quizzes, reviewing them for accuracy, appropriateness of material coverage, and student understanding of the material. Recommends substantive changes in overall course content or course materials as changes occur in subject matter specialty or assigned project.

Requirements

• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
• Prior to appointment applicants are required to sign a statement indicating they understand the conditions of employment or assignment to the position and acknowledge the consequences of failing to meet and maintain those required conditions.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Instruct Military Decision-Making process, assigned technical areas of expertise, associated Battle Command Information System, Signal Common Core Principles, and with a focus on Mission command to active and reserve components. 2. Determines if objectives of the course have been met through tests and examinations. 3. Provides subject matter expertise in the development and preparation of programs to be instructed. 4. Revises training aids, devices, and media to improve trainings. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
