About the Position: This Program Manager (Chief of Staff) is located at US Army Test & Evaluation Command, US Army Yuma Proving Ground Office of the Commander with duty location at YUMA, AZ

Duties

Serves as Chief of Staff as principal advisor to the Commander, Technical Director, and Command Staff. Provides expert direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the Commander and relieves the Commander of detailed planning related to personnel management and command administrative actions. Coordinates a wide variety of projects and taskings, from higher authority, through the Command Staff. The CoS is responsible for developing, planning and overseeing the execution of staff functions and supervises staff coordination, direction, and assistance for all internal and external Command functions all in support of the Test, Evaluation, Training, and Support missions. Responsible to identify, develop, and recommend near, mid, and long-range administrative plans and systems. Serves as the manager to ensure front office practices and procedures are in accordance with regulation and policies. The position is critical in its support to the Command Group regarding the effectiveness with which all day-to-day operations and programs are managed and executed. Incumbent is required to assess program taskings and program status; and in doing so, utilizes analytical and managerial skills and abilities to evaluate a multitude of management, administrative, and technical initiatives under the domain of the Technical Director and staff. Ensures communication and coordination with personnel located within the Command and Higher Headquarters.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
