You will serve as a Equal Employment Specialist in the Equal Employment Office of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.

Duties

You will compile, report, and analyzing statistical data to evaluate effectiveness of programs, determining trends and identifying problem areas. You will administer the EEO complaints and pre-complaints processing to include counseling, investigation and adjudicating. You will participate in the analysis of management practices, organizational structure employment measures, and conducting annual self-assessment of the activity EEO programs. You will develop, plan , and coordinate special emphasis programs (SEP) and foster relationships with community groups.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Equal Employment Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a thorough knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to attempt the effective and efficient completion of EEO complaints. I have experience providing advice, guidance and assistance to Management and Employees regarding the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) process. I also have experience administering EEO complaints to include counseling, investigation and adjudicating. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Provide counseling services to employees concerning equal employment problems; 2) Provides advice to management in developing and carrying out effective affirmative plans; 3) Assisting with recognizing problem areas that require Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program attention thorough barrier analysis, and develop initiatives to sustain successes of a model Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Equal Employment Specialist experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector by applying a basic knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to attempt to assist with the effective and efficient completion of EEO complaints. I have experience providing assistance to management and employees regarding the Equal Employment Opportunity Process. Specialized experience may include the following duties: (1) Understanding and executing concepts of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles, laws, regulations, and polices; (2) Assisting in the decision making during neutral fact finding in informal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints; (3) Providing guidance and assistance with special emphasis programs; and (4) Recognizing problem areas that require Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program attention. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-11:
  • A Related Ph.D. or equivalent related doctoral degree;
  • 3 full years of progressively higher level related graduate education leading to such a degree; or
  • An LL.M., if related.
For GS-09:
  • A Master's or equivalent related graduate degree;
  • 2 full years of progressively higher level related graduate education leading to such a degree; or
  • An LL.B. or J.D., if related.
