This position is located at Hilltop Riding Stable of the Fort Eisenhower Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Duties

Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment. Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments. Work is performed in all types of weather, often in an open driver's seat or platform, on hills, slopes, grades, and rolling surfaces. Performs necessary repair and maintenance work on equipment and performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for operating in a safe manner at the work site and while in transit to/from the work site.

• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Applicant must be physically capable of lifting supplies and materials up to 100 pounds; frequent arm and leg movements to operate tractor controls, and exposure to pollen and chemical fumes, weather extremes, and possible cuts and bruises.

Qualifications

Must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment. Must have and retain valid driver's license. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit.
