You will serve as a General Maintenance Leader in the Facilities Sustainment & Services Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. All PRC3XX

Duties

You will utilize knowledge in at least 2 of the following facility maintenance trades to complete work orders: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, HVAC mechanic, industrial equipment mechanic, sheet metal mechanic, or electronics mechanic. You will plan the layout and complete the installation, modification and repair of facility systems. You will interpret building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan and layout work. You will use trade formulas to calculate common properties. You will motivate and lead other workers to accomplish the work of the unit You will inspect overall work to assure trade standards, quality, and scope requirements are met and work is completed in a timely manner. You will be responsible for the safe and proper execution of work and operation of systems equipment.

  • You may be required to serve as an on-call duty mechanic on a rotational basis.
  • You may be designated as ALPHA personnel and required to report for duty or held in duty status to provide support before, during and/or after special emergency situations, such as, but not limited to destructive weather or disasters.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.
