NOTE:
TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.
Duties
Communicates with beneficiaries, lessees, landowners and other interested parties about the process options, documentation, and other needs that may be associated with contracting activities.
Perform work consisting of technical duties with continuing responsibility for projects, questions, or problems that arise within the realty program.
Serves as an assistant assuming a wide responsibility of technical duties, i.e., proceeding with advertisement/ publications, verifying data to process applications for contract under immediate supervisor.
Accepts applications for realty associated activity, providing technical assistance and information in response to inquiries to assure regulatory compliance.
Screens incoming correspondence prepares, and processes replies to routine inquiries and assembles any required supplemental material and submits for signature.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for One-Grade Interval Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-1101).
GS-5: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include, but are not limited to, to preparing realty correspondence, maintenance of logs and clearing and categorizing files or documents to aid in delivery of documents or files to the appropriate file format. Works with automated systems to verify ownership and monitor activity.
OR
EDUCATION: Four (4) years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field at an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.)
GS-6: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal services. Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to communicating with beneficiaries/ lessees/other landowners and interested parties about the process options, documentation, or the need associated with contracting and/or conveyance activities. Provide accurate, timely, and consistent trust asset information to include general assistance and information to inquiries to assure regulatory compliance. These examples are not all inclusive (refer to the summary of duties for specialized experience).
GS-7: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include, but not limited to, continuing responsibility for projects, questions, or problems that arise within the realty program. Independently gathers data, prepares reports, advertising/publications and makes recommendations consistent with normal practice, with knowledge of regulations, authorities, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. These examples are not all inclusive (refer to the summary of duties for specialized experience).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education which shows the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
