This SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position is located in a Maintenance Group operating a Stock Record Account Number (SRAN), Combat Air Force (CAF) and/or Mobility Air Force (MAF) munitions activities, or a Mission Support Group which has gained munition activities and is part of the CA 129 RQW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2003-9, is to serve as the Munitions Accountable Systems Officer providing oversight of the installation munitions stockpile. This is a National Guard Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership.

Qualifications

General Experience: Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process; Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2003-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc; Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management; Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support; Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Analysis and ResearchInventory ManagementProblem SolvingSupply Planning

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
