You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the of Learning Standards Directorate of Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific (EWTGPAC), Marine Air Ground Task Force-Training Command.
Duties
You will prepare and/or review and edit correspondence, orders, instructions, directives, and memoranda pertaining to educational training and curriculum development matters.
You will provide the necessary solutions based upon sound educational theory and practice when problems are not covered by policy.
You will analyze and recommend courses of action on development strategies to the Learning standards Departmental leadership, working directly with subject matter experts.
You will conduct training task analysis and the authoring of relevant doctrine-base learning objectives, curriculum outlines of instruction, course master schedules, resources requirement list, instructor lesson plans, and student guides.
You will coordinate and evaluate new methodologies, procedures, and techniques for classroom and computer-based presentation and demonstrations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Strong elocution is a requisite for this position. Must be free of any speech impediments and be able to clearly articulate verbally and in writing so that a wide range of personnel can comprehend.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing duties such as: Develop and evaluate combat readiness training and education programs, conduct analytical research by utilizing surveys, field observations or interviews, AND provide statistical feedback and recommendations on the training program effectiveness.

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
OR
Experience
Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
- Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
- Supervising or administering a training program.
- Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
- Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
Applicants may also qualify based on education OR a combination of education and experience. In lieu of one-year specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
or
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
or
LL.M., if related
Must have a combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal 100 percent.
