This position is located in an Area Office in the state of Illinois, USDA/Rural Development. The incumbent administers complex aspects of the single-family housing direct loan program for an assigned area. Maintains partnerships, leverages additional sources of assistance, and performs marketing/outreach work as required for the success of the program; executes assigned home loans and repair loans and grants.

Duties
Serves as a senior operating loan specialist responsible for the execution of applicable single family housing loan and grant programs.
As an operating loan specialist, implements the Rural Development (RD) programs to provide direct single-family housing loans to individual applicants.
Prepares as applicable, conditional commitment, funding commitment and notification of loan closing, and certificate of eligibility and either approves or submits to approving official.
Administers the single-family housing repair loan and grant program for an assigned area. Executes repair loans and grants for single family dwelling.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.

Qualifications

Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
