This position is located with the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Enforcement Division, Duluth District located in Duluth, MN.
The incumbent of this position provides technical and administrative support for the District's Special Investigations Group, along with administrative support and liaison duties in direct support of the Conference Litigation Representatives (CLRs) and any assigned staff.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.
Duties
Duties are reflected at the full performance GS-7 level.

Specialized Experienceis the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
For the GS-6 Grade Level: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-5, in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience must include at least two (2) or more of the following:
Familiarity with reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with policy.
Scheduling and arranging meetings between multiple parties.
Coordinating the acquisition and submission of all documents for a case within the required deadlines.
Managing numerous case files and tracking all deadlines.
Composition of professional, legal documents, letters, or memorandum.
Note: There is no education substitution for experience at the GS-06 level.
For the GS-7 Grade Level: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-6, in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience must include at least three (3) or more of the following:
Experience reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with policy.
Scheduling and arranging meetings between multiple parties.
Coordinating the acquisition and submission of all documents for a case within the required deadlines.
Managing numerous case files and tracking all deadlines.
Composition of professional, documents, letters, or memorandum.
Experience in searching records and files, gathering/screening/interpreting and providing factual information or explanations in order to resolve problems presented in assignments.
Experience in using oral and written communication to express and secure information, coordinate activities, and discuss sensitive subjects.
Note: There is no education substitution for experience at the GS-07 level.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, you must have a typing proficiency of 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. You must have a certificate of proficiency from an organization authorized to issue such certificates or self-certify your proficiency.
Education
There is no substitution for education at the posted grade levels.
