Duties

Receives, examines, and audits complex payroll authorization documents. Reviews time and attendance actions and utilizes the on-line DCPS and automated timekeeping system. Reviews novel and unique payroll situations which affect pay. Reviews time and attendance actions and utilizes DMHRSi to present timely and accurate information related to the personnel time. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of DMHRSi. Provides guidance for process improvement initiatives within DMHRSi program.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. May complete within 1 year of service.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
• This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Research or resolve pay issues 2) Review or maintain or audit time cards 3) and Utilize an automated payroll software system to input or retrieve or resolve pay data or issues . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
