Duties

You will provide direction and oversight on IT services and integrated cybersecurity programs. You will recommend alternate technological solutions in support of client requirements and budgetary constraints. You will monitor cybersecurity compliance of the cloud services, networks, systems, and Modeling and Simulation systems to manage risk and more rapidly adjust resources to meet fluctuating and unpredictable operational requirements. You will implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) to secure and provision networks, systems, and applicants.

  • You must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, for work role Information Assurance Managers proficiency Level 3.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

For the GS-13: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following:1) Managing cybersecurity programs, providing direction and support on IT services and cybersecurity programs;2) Implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) across a wide range of classifications, networks, and systems to include modeling & simulation; and3) Managing IT Core Services such as operational support, procurement, and configuration management. For the GS-12: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following:1) Providing IT services for cybersecurity programs;2) Assisting with Risk Management Framework (RMF) across a wide range of classifications, networks, and systems; and3) Providing IT operational support, procurement, and configuration management. In addition to the required specialized experience, your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
