You will serve as an Acquisition Lead in the Mission Integration and Special Programs Office (PMA-298) of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $139,395 - $181,216.
You will work majority of the time onsite in a TS-SCIF setting.
Duties
You will execute and manage the Acquisition portfolio and serve as the acquisition authority and advisor for the agency.
You will develop innovative acquisition strategies and analyze acquisition management approaches and practices.
You will facilitate and execute multiple contracts per year for both a direct program office budget and external funding sources.
You will recommend certain policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition management practices within the agency.
You will act as an overall coordinator for acquisition documentation, events, and meetings in accordance with DoD's acquisition process leading to decisions and other reviews across all office programs and projects.
Requirements

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Executing and managing the Acquisition portfolio and serving as the acquisition authority and advisor for the agency; (2) Developing innovative acquisition strategies and analyzing acquisition management approaches and practices; (3) Facilitating and executing multiple contracts per year for both a direct program office budget and external funding sources; (4) Recommending certain policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition management practices within the agency; and (5) Acting as an overall coordinator for acquisition documentation, events, and meetings in accordance with DoD's acquisition process leading to decisions and other reviews across all office programs and projects.
