This announcement will fill vacancies for various fitness centers within FMWR on Ft. Wainwright, AK (Physical Fitness Center, Melaven Fitness Center and Wolf's Lair). Up to 25% recruitment and retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week. Duties

Assist in the planning markets and conducts an ongoing program to provide conditioning programs for facility users. Instructs in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, and flexibility.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2.
• Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Must be able to work any shift (morning, evening and weekends).

Qualifications

Demonstrated work experience that enables the candidate to independently carry out a basic physical fitness program, and a Fitness or Personal Trainer Certificate.
