Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security; within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Air and Marine Operations.

Duties

As Executive Director, Domain Awareness Security Operations, you will maintain Air and Marine Operations' (AMO's) domain awareness posture using technology and intelligence to provide a detailed perspective of the operating environment and coordinate threat interdiction operations across all U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operating units. You will develop domain awareness capability requirements for AMO. You will sponsor initiatives to improve strategic aviation and maritime domain awareness within CBP. You will oversee the evaluation of information on threats to national security and alerts and provide intelligence to AMO; CBP law enforcement officers; and other Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies conducting criminal investigations. You will lead Detection Enforcement Officers, Law Enforcement Agents, Intelligence Research Specialists, Information Technology Specialists, and program support personnel located in several locations throughout the United States, including AMO Headquarters in Washington, DC; and the Air and Marine Operations Centers in Riverside, California, and in Puerto Rico. You will serve as the principal senior executive responsible for fully coordinated domain awareness operations across the United States. This includes working with the Department of Homeland Security, CBP operational components, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Department of Defense, to ensure national capability is functional 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Technical Qualifications - Mandatory 6. Expert knowledge of and experience overseeing aviation and maritime surveillance and intelligence operations, to include the use of aviation and maritime detection and monitoring systems.
