Duties

You will plan, assign and direct requirements which result in adequate quality work. You will ensure all employees are trained in all aspects of their position to include computers and the software systems of record needed to perform the duties required. You will supervise the environmental compliance area and matters as it relates to Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) and hazardous material requirement within the Exercise Support Division (ESD). You will have direct supervisory responsibility and control over the ESD Hazardous Material Section. You will ensure the accuracy and timelines of all inventory balances and data records. You will be responsible for administrating the schedule inventories and conducting causative research on discrepancies or errors. You will support a safe working environment in areas of responsibility at all times to include forklift and utility vehicle operation, truck loading and unloading. You will design, monitor, and maintain a safe working environment through compliance of safety programs. You will perform accident investigations, complete required paperwork, and perform necessary follow-ups are required.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Incumbent may lift and carry up to 40 pounds for short distances.
  • This position requires some amounts of walking and standing; inside and outside, with the infrequent exposure to extreme desert heat or cold; working around moving objects and frequently works closely with others, or alone.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or be able to obtain a forklift license within 6 months of employment.
  • Incumbent is required to drive a motor vehicle. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Misuse of Government IT systems is cause for disciplinary action, including removal.
