You will serve as a Administrative/Technical specialist in the Supply Branch of the Property Management Division of the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. NT-05 is equivalent to the GS-13/14 The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).

Duties

You will serve as the Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services Liaison. You will serve as a technical expert for Supply Chain Management, providing advice and guidance to management at all levels within NSWC Crane, and leadership and direction to peers residing in all organizations across NSWC Crane. You will be responsible for the coordination of all Supply Chain Management functions with the local NSLC (shipping, receiving, disposal, warehouse management, etc.), and Disposition Services with the local DLA. You will serve as a Team Lead for one or more of the following functional areas: policy and procedures, system analysis, data management, and/or property excessing. You will develop processes and reports that aid in the management of the Operating Materials and Supplies (OMS), utilizing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and other methods You will review data on Sponsor Owned Material (SOM), MILSTRIP, Purchase Card, and other material/supply procurements and transactions to ensure accurate and auditable data is available. You will analyze financial reports and other data making recommendations of possible solutions to identified problems. You will coordinate with the appropriate personnel and organizations in order to exchange technical information to resolve complex issues, and for the preparation, implementation, and sustainment of OMS management policies and processes. You will develop and maintain comprehensive sets of management plans, contingencies and statistical information regarding specific projects, tasks, actions, and logistical operations. You will identify Supply Chain Management (SCM) support problems through communication with customers, management, NSLC and DLA. You will generate metrics and reports to ensure proper transactions are being executed in a timely manner within APSR to ensure accountability and auditability is maintained.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating the implementation, management and tracking of a supply chain management program (e.g. shipping, receiving, disposal, warehouse management, etc.) to adhere to policy and legal requirements..
