The position performs duties to assist one individual, and in some cases the subordinate staff of that individual, by performing general office work auxiliary to the work of the organization. The position is the principal clerical or administrative support position in the office, operating independently of any other such position in the office Atlanta Nursing Education Service
Duties
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receives, directs, organizes and maintains files, records, manuals, handbooks, and other related materials.
Receives and controls mail and suspense items, routing them directly to the appropriate person or office for action.
Takes and transcribes all meeting minutes which may involve both technical and specialized nursing terminology.
Serves as alternate timekeeper and coordinates and assists with timekeeping issues.
Schedules appointments and makes commitments for the Nurse Manager to attend meetings.
Organizes and maintains files, records, manuals, handbooks, and other related materials.
Assist with scheduling classroom space
Applicant must be proficiency as a typist, with a minimum of 40 words per minute typing speed. (Must be on Resume).

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/24/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work
