This occupation is currently approved for a Veterans Health Administration enterprise-wide Critical Skills Incentive through 9/10/2024. Candidates may be eligible for a lump sum CSI for a prorated amount if onboard prior to the CSI expiration date. Eligible candidates will be required to sign a service agreement agreeing to an obligated service period and failure to complete the obligated service period may result in a debt for the unearned portion of the CSI.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to: Plan the utilization of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily and/or project basis. Adhere to work priorities, project schedules, resources, and detailed work plans established by higher level supervisors. Follows customary work cycles and sequences in planning work assignments. Directs a workforce that consists of Housekeeping Aid Leaders and Housekeeping Aid positions. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or helps in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems, reassigns personnel within group supervised; and coordinates work among workers and other supervisors to maintain work progress and meet schedules. Participates with employees in the development of performance plans and makes recommendations to supervisors. Recommends appropriate recognition or corrective action(s), as needed, in performance management. Recommends training based on needs assessment and mission requirements.
