IT Operations Engineers coordinate the integration, deployment, sustainment, maintenance, and operations of systems and/or services in the host enterprise architecture and NGA. **This job announcement is for NGA's Virtual Hiring Event scheduled for January 30, 2024.**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Operations Engineers manage enterprise and customer-defined requirements. They evaluate current and future technology trends to help find adopt the most suitable technical solution, considering current and future requirements, cost, technical maturity and suitability. They may manage technical roadmaps in one or more technical area within the infrastructure service provider crossing the lanes of Desktop Services or Voice and Video Services or Hybrid Cloud Services.Additional Application Requirement: You may be asked to complete one or more assessments in addition to the application you submit on this website as part of your application to NGA. Qualifications

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Experience overseeing operations of IT hardware, software, and networking capabilities such as Microsoft Windows, government off the shelf software (GOTS), or commercial networking hardware.2. Experience identifying and/or implementing IT process improvements (e.g. workflow, system upgrades).3. Experience evaluating and translating customer needs from functional to technical requirements.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Technology Management, or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in IT operations, system engineering, system testing and evaluation, IT project management, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT operations, system engineering, system testing and evaluation, IT project management, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: DAWIA Certification may be required for this position; See Position License and Certification Requirements for additional details. New Acquisition Workforce members or members transferring to a different or higher skill level will have, upon position entry, thirty-six months, forty-eight months, or sixty months, depending on the DAWIA Tier required, to achieve their certification. Current Acquisition Workforce members must maintain their current certification by achieving 80 Continuous Learning hours every twenty-four months. -AND- Relevant Competencies: IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated knowledge of IT and information systems in both DoD and IC environments2. Knowledge of GEOINT in-theater/on-site architecture(s) and supporting infrastructure.3. Demonstrated experience working with customers, stakeholders, and/or teams within the Intelligence Community.
