About the Position: This position is with the National Guard Bureau, Professional Education Center Command Group, Camp J T Robinson, AR. Camp Robinson is home to the PEC and its 75-acre campus consisting of 25 buildings and a total staff of approximately 420 military, civilian contractor personnel. We annually provide instruction to over 20,000 members of the military force.

Duties

Oversee the day-to-day administrative and organizational operations for the assigned front office with responsibility for planning, development, and execution of processes and procedures. Develop, monitor, and track administrative actions and tasking systems. Evaluate administrative procedures and determine when changes need to be made. Plan, organize, and direct all administrative practices and procedures used by office staff to ensure consistency and compliance with accepted policies and guidance. Provide agenda and pre-brief material to command personnel. Conduct a variety of complex administrative information studies involving consideration of budgetary, logistical, and personnel needs for the assigned organization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: maintain code, regulation, and policy from senior level management; manage policies and procedures to advise Staff and subordinate Battalions on implementation; administer automated staffing tools to allow proponents to assign different tasks to staff, and ensure documents are properly routed, reviewed, and executed; track progress and engage staff to keep processes moving and regularly report progress to leadership on individual and aggregate staffing performance; maintain command group calendars, advise on scheduling and performance of complex sensitive tasks; provide support to visiting VIPs who utilize the Command Group Offices during major conferences, workshops, and exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-9 or equivalent). OR Education: have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Business Administration (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
