About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Conducts studies of DHA health care delivery systems and operations, including services provided in the direct health care system. Establishes standards of performance for critical and high volume, high-cost areas of health care. Utilizes various automated data systems (i.e., MHS GENESIS, M2,MCFAS,) for sources of information on patient population demographics, nature of care provided, purchased care costs, etc. Coordinates data requirements with markets and MTFs to ensure uniformity and consistency in reporting and managing information for conducting performance and cost analysis. Identifies and investigates sources of information regarding health care delivery systems and evolving strategies. Promulgates policy and program initiatives, works closely with clinical staff and managed care offices regarding implementation, and evaluation of program initiatives.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the identification of operational goals for a military health service delivery system; developing processes to improve healthcare efficiency; and participating in the development of corrective actions plans, policies, and/or procedures for the command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
