You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM(FST) DEPARTMENT, FST LOGISTICS DIVISON of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will enhance the quality and effectiveness of complex logistics programs. You will effectively plan, organize and direct ILS study teams. You will effectively negotiate with high level officials to accept and implement study recommendations. You will develop and provide comprehensive briefings and recommendations to top military commanders and civilian managers.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Managing configuration changes for a major Navy aircraft weapon system including the development, planning, and implementation of products related to all related Integrated Logistics Support elements. 2) Providing technical, scheduling and resource allocation guidance on all matters related logistics management to ensure that Engineering changes are fully supported and are implemented in a timely manner. 3) Establishing budget estimates for Engineering Change Proposals for program office decision making. 4) Reviewing Statements of Work, associated deliverables and contract documents that are required to implement changes in Naval aircraft or associated systems.
