Duties
You will analyze trends and develops special reports relevant to one-time requests for information on specific expenditures, such as travel, information technology costs, and reimbursement or trust fund agreements.
You will solve logistics management issues through analysis.
You will develop budget forecasts and overhead cost distribution methods between many different accounts and funding sources using electronic spreadsheets.
You will Performs studies or assists others with full scale studies.
You will serve as the MCD Defense Travel System (DTS) specialist
You will track and control of funds for special programs; analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
You will review, analyzes and prepares budgetary data and estimates for MCD fund holders and Comptroller for annual budget preparation documents,
based on historical data and recurring costs.
You will analyze, develop and improve policies, plans methods and procedures of supply programs.
You will solve logistics management issues through analysis.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to identify, analyze, and forecast trends and to communicate financial implications to leaders. Skill in maintaining and reconciling accounts, analyzing and tracing discrepancies, determine underlying causes, and making necessary adjustments. Knowledge of the MCD automated financial management planning process and associated documentation and software program. Knowledge of the travel system.
