As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Directorate is the U.S. Government source for collecting, validating, storing, maintaining and disseminating aeronautical data for the U.S and its territories.

Duties

Serves as alternate to the Director, sharing fully in responsibilities for the overall planning and direction of all organizational activities. In partnership with the Director, the incumbent provides a cross-agency view of initiatives, projects, systems and procedures critical to the integration and implementation of programs as related to Aeronautical Information Services in support of the National Airspace System. Directs, coordinates, and manages the Strategic Planning Program and the Operational Business Plan for the Directorate. Responsible for establishing multi-year long range plans to ensure effective and efficient implementation of operational responsibilities, in addition to managing the Quality Management Program for all aspects of Aeronautical Information Services.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience managing and providing oversight in the programs responsible for collecting, validating, storing, maintaining, and disseminating aeronautical data for the United States and its territories. Knowledge of the purpose, function, and interrelationships of the FAA and the Air Traffic Organization’s components, their functions and operations.
