Qualifications
Basic Requirement
Must possess an undergraduate or graduate education in major study of photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
(Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.)
or
Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled.
GS-14 Requirement
Must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, (obtained in either the public or private sectors). For this position, examples of specialized experience must include activities such as:
- Skill in project, staff, facility, and office management - setting priorities, and accomplishing multiple tasks simultaneously to bring projects to successful completion.
- Coaching and leading performance management of all direct reports and determine staffing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in NewTek Tricaster production appliances, Media SAN operation, QSC audio mixers, and Yamaha QL series audio mixers, web video conferencing, and Interpretation IR equipment.
- Skill in advanced AVIP practices including: Network design for media production, configurations and operations, including NDI, Dante, and Crestron NVX protocols.
- Demonstrated Audiovisual Production skills for live events, broadcast and social media.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.
(Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade if you are a current permanent Federal employee. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
