Duties

You will rotate machine duty, washers or dryers, on a basis determined by the shift leader. You will weigh loaded baskets on industrial scale by adjusting scale weights to subtract weight of basket, getting weight of items inside basket. You will prior to loading washing machines examine item to be processed by type and classification group, and size of load. Yu will determine proper temperatures and operating times. You will use microprocessor to select appropriate dryer setting called for by the classification of articles being process. You will perform equipment preventative maintenance including, but not limited to keeping drains and lint traps in a clean condition, cleaning machines and surrounding area daily utilizing air hoses and pressure washers.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.
  • This position requires employee to work under adverse environmental conditions.
  • Incumbent will observe fire and safety rules and directives at all times.
