THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ASSISTANT - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1260000 and is part of the KY SMO, National Guard.

Duties

As a PROGRAM ASSISTANT - TITLE 32, GS-0344-7, you will analyze readiness reports and MTOE's to identify readiness trends, causes of low Equipment Status, key equipment shortages, and equipment requiring redistribution to improve equipment systems status and overall reporting. Assist units in achieving Full Mission Capable goals by proactively analyzing readiness trends. Compare the unit readiness reports with the Unit Status Report to ensure correct readiness reporting. Use Supply Bulletins, Army Regulations and Pamphlets to determine equipment that can be interchanged and/or substituted for training and readiness purposes. Coordinate with staff members, administrative officers, and unit commanders to identify equipment readiness inhibitors, contributing factors, remedial actions and makes recommendations. Prioritize the distribution of equipment to be obtained from the wholesale supply system. Recommend disposal or repair of unserviceable equipment based on its condition, equipment distributions, and readiness needs. Coordinate training required for surface maintenance technicians. Monitor requests for training and provide guidance and information concerning technician training. Serve as a recognized authority for materiel readiness reporting. Provide assistance and instructions on readiness reporting. Receive and provide responses for Department of the Army and the National Guard Bureau level inquiries regarding readiness reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience involving administrative or clerical experience (i.e., applying guidelines, rules and regulations to assignments, composing correspondence, researching and compiling information and data, and records administration). Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience evaluating and determining regulatory compliance. Experience using guidelines, methods, precedents and techniques applicable to the specific programs or phases relative to the position. Experience conducting studies, preparing reports, and making changes to eliminate ineffective operations. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
