This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Hosting & Compute Center.
Duties
Plans, programs, develops, implements, and manages all facility engineering requirements relative to construction, operation, maintenance, procurement, and logistics of critical facility infrastructure.
Makes daily inspections and initiates necessary work/service orders to correct noted or expected deficiencies.
Attends special meetings, conferences, and serves as Project Manager on several design and construction projects.
Provides professional facility engineering guidance in formulation and review of Military Construction and minor construction projects.
Negotiates inter-service support agreements (ISSA) with host related to required engineering support services.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
GG-0801 Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a
bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by
ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year
physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or
physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c)
fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f)
nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties);
and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as
optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience applying data center or critical facility infrastructure design, upgrades, maintenance and repairs and multiple engineering disciplines and mechanical system design and construction. Experience in trouble shooting and conducting complex engineering surveys on critical infrastructure.

Education
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the
