About the Position: This is a Permanent position with U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Office of CG/Commandant located at Fort Novosel, Alabama.

Duties

Implement administrative practices that comply with Department of the Army (DA) and Major Command (MACOM) guidance to create efficient and effective organization business processes. Develop guidance on administrative techniques and methods of improvement. Develop manuals and directives covering the administrative aspects of operations. . Evaluate organizational policies to apply appropriate best practices from existing doctrine and emerging industry business practices. Use in-depth knowledge of SHARP Program priorities, historically recurring events and personal preferences to manage leaderships day-to-day and long-range calendars in work environment subject to constantly changing requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel is required of 25% of the time.
  • In accordance with DoDI 6493.03, this position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) within six months of employment.
  • Requires background checks to be conducted against all records as required by law, OPM, DoD, and Army policy and regulation.
  • Must submit to a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Check for all states of residence in the previous five and/or up to ten years.
  • Must complete all required training, obtain certification, and be placed on appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, implementing, and evaluating business processes utilizing knowledge of sexual harassment/assault programs; managing a variety of administrative service operations (e.g., reports, personnel, records, travel, events, supply, etc.) necessary for efficient and effective organizational mission accomplishment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
