Duties

You will enforce classified material accountability, control, and dissemination procedures within the department. You will ensure department personnel complete annual records management training to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and guidance. You will advise personnel on policy and procedures in the control of classified information. You will attend bi-monthly Naval Sea Symptoms Command (NAVSEA) Record Manager telephone conferences.

Requirements

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the policies, procedures, directives and instructions concerning records management issues such as NARA records management procedures and guidance; General Records Schedule, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPPA), etc. Interpreting Federal Laws, DOD, Navy, State and local policies and procedures and translating them into understandable procedures and processes that can be used within the department. Experience with qualitative and quantitative techniques used to gather, analyze and evaluate information management studies and data involving the total range of records management functions, mission and activities to plan, schedule and advise on effectiveness and efficiency of record management practices.
